“Meet them where they’re at“, a simple yet empowering principle Steve has integrated into his everyday practice. Born and raised in Edmonton, Steve graduated from the University of Alberta with a bachelors in occupational therapy. During his clinical placements, Steve developed an interest in mental health and decided to pursue this upon graduation. Since then he has worked on a behavioral modification program, an assertive community treatment/housing first program and currently works in inpatient mental health. His core practice includes a mixture of motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy and environmental adaptation.
